Job Description
Locum Ready is currently recruiting for a experienced Locum Practice Nurse to join a well-established GP practice in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Practice Nurse looking for flexible locum shifts with excellent hourly pay in a friendly and supportive primary care setting.
As a Locum Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for chronic disease management, immunisations, cervical cytology, wound care, and general health assessments. You will work closely with GPs and the wider clinical team to provide high-quality patient care.
This role offers up to 3 days a week, and we can accommodate multiple locum nurses if required.
Hourly Rate:
£25 – £35 per hour (depending on experience and skillset).
Job Requirements:
- Registered Practice Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a GP practice or primary care setting.
- Proficiency in chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension).
- Experience with childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations, cervical screening (smear tests), and wound care.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team.
- Experience using EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision (training can be provided if required).
- Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Days and Hours:
- Up to 3 days a week (flexible schedule).
- Available shifts: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM, or full-day shifts.
- No weekend work required, but additional shifts may be available.
