Job Description

Locum Ready is looking for Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Pencoed. This opportunity offers access to a broad mix of primary care and community-based clinical shifts, giving you full flexibility to choose the sessions that best suit your skills and preferred working pattern.

You will deliver autonomous ACP-led care within a variety of local services, supporting patient access through urgent clinics, minor illness sessions, routine assessments or triage work. Each shift is structured to ensure safe practice, with clear expectations and strong support from on-site clinical leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running independent ACP clinics in community and GP environments
  • Managing acute and undifferentiated presentations
  • Supporting urgent care demand through triage and streaming
  • Prescribing and initiating treatment where qualified
  • Completing follow-up tasks and reviewing results
  • Recording detailed and accurate clinical notes

Requirements

  • Level 7 Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification
  • Clinical background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, AHP or similar
  • Independent Prescribing qualification (V300/equivalent) desirable
  • Experience in primary care, community or urgent care services
  • Confident working autonomously in new clinical settings
  • Enhanced DBS
