Job Description
Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to support a busy and well-established GP practice in Canvey Island. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ANP who enjoys working autonomously, providing high-quality patient care, and making a real impact in primary care.
You will be responsible for managing minor illnesses, chronic disease reviews, urgent care cases, and prescribing independently, working alongside a supportive clinical team of GPs, Nurses, and Pharmacists.
This role offers up to 2 days a week, and multiple locum ANPs can be considered to cover the required shifts.
Job Requirements:
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) qualification with postgraduate certification.
- V300 Independent Prescribing qualification is essential.
- Minimum 1 year of primary care experience (GP surgery, urgent care, or walk-in centre).
- Competent in conducting patient assessments, prescribing, and triaging.
- Experience with EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision (training available if required).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Days and Hours:
- Up to 2 days a week (flexible schedule).
- Sessions available: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- No weekend or evening work required.
