Job Description
Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Pontefract. This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.
You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.
Key Responsibilities
- Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics
- Completing long-term condition reviews where required
- Telephone triage and clinical decision-making
- Independent prescribing and medication reviews
- Ordering and interpreting investigations
- Clear, accurate clinical documentation
- Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs
Requirements
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate)
- V300 Independent Prescribing
- Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings
- Ability to work autonomously and safely
- Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision)
- Enhanced DBS
Working Pattern
- Up to 4 days per week, flexible sessions
- Morning and afternoon clinics available
- Opportunity for long-term block bookings
