Job Description
Locum Ready are seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a GP practice in Wrexham. This role is ideal for an ANP seeking a flexible locum position in a fast-paced primary care environment.
Your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, and collaborating with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
We are offering up to 4 days a week, and we can accommodate multiple locum ANPs if needed.
Job Requirements:
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) qualification with a postgraduate certification.
- V300 Independent Prescribing qualification is essential.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in primary care, urgent care, or a walk-in centre.
- Confident in working autonomously and within a team environment.
- Competent in minor illness management, triage, and long-term condition reviews.
- Proficiency in using EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision (training can be arranged if required).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Working Days and Hours:
- Up to 4 days a week (flexible schedule).
- Available shifts: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM / 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM (split shifts available).
- Potential for additional evening or weekend sessions if desired.
