Job Description
Locum Ready is looking for a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services throughout Wadebridge. This position offers flexible sessional work within established GP clinics, ideal for nurses experienced in delivering routine treatment room activity and supporting day-to-day clinical operations.
You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing responsibilities, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in structured, well-organised environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings
- Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
- Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained)
- Completing smear tests if cytology-trained
- Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity
- Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required
- Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant primary care experience
- Strong treatment room competency
- Good communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to adapt to new practice environments quickly
- Knowledge of common clinical systems beneficial
- Enhanced DBS clearance
Working Pattern
- Flexible regional shifts
- Weekday, evening or weekend availability
- Suitable for both ad-hoc and regular bookings
